Stewardship: Day 22

1 Chronicles 29:11  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.

  1. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

As a Christian, faithful stewardship begins by acknowledging that we, as well as everything, belong to God.

A faithful steward is one who properly manages (stewards) that which belongs to another. (People, possessions, money and time.)

Everything in our possession God owns and we are responsible to faithfully manage them.

As sons and daughters in the family of God and as joint heirs with Christ, the motive our heart should be to want to please Him. Faithfulness and obedience develops a trustworthy relationship with God. Out of this relationship, we are expected to listen to the Holy Spirit and to be faithful with what He entrusts to us. Out of our love and faithfulness toward Him, comes great reward.

Faithful stewardship is an absolute and fundamental principle of God, from the beginning and throughout eternity.

Confession:

As a Christian, I believe that I and all things belong to God. The motive of my heart must be to please God in all that I do. I make the commitment to develop a trustworthy relationship with the Lord and to become a faithful steward of what He entrusts to me.
