Think Right and Then Speak Right

Psalms 19:14: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

Let me ask you a simple question, do you look at things the way God does?

It is important for us to realize that we are to look at ourselves, our lives and even our problems as God does, and not any other way.  In other words, we are to see ourselves as God sees us, victorious, not defeated.  God sees us as healed not sick.  God sees us serving Him, not the enemy.  It is time for us to stop thinking and speaking negative defeated things over our lives, but speaking God's Word over ourselves!

Christianity is called the great confession.

Hebrews 3:1.  Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

Romans 10:8-10: But what does it say? "The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart'' (that is, the word of faith which we preach):  9. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10.  For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.

We confessed with our mouth what we believed in our heart and we were saved.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the High Priest of that confession.

The Bible teaches us two very important facts about confessions.  The first is words are

important.  The old saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”, is not really true.  We were taught this saying as a child to help us get through those cruel times children have, to grow up without getting our feelings hurt.  But you see, words do hurt, they do affect us physically, mentally and spiritually.

The second thing the Bible teaches is that we are snared by the words of our mouth.

Proverbs 6:2:  you are snared by the words of your own mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.

A snare is a trap.  If we are not careful, our words will trap us into spiritual death, sickness and poverty, the curse of the law.  Praise God, Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law.

Galatians 3:13: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''),

Jesus Christ became the curse for us, when he was crucified.  He became sin, sickness and he died spiritually, so that we didn’t have to.  Praise God!

So it is so important for us to continue in this great confession of Christianity and that is to live and walk in what Christ purchased for us on Calvary.  Believe me, it is not pain and suffering, it is not rebellious children or unpaid bills. It is not having enough money to pay bills, or by school supplies for your children.  Christ suffered and died for us, so that the blessing of Abraham became ours.

Galatians 3:14-15: that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it.

Christ died to redeem us from the curse of the law and to give us the blessing of Abraham.

If you study the Old Testament in Genesis, you will see that Abraham, even though he messed up at times, was still blessed by God.  Why, because he believed the promise God made to him and it was counted to him as righteousness.

Romans 4:3: For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.''

We are to believe the promise God made to us in His Word!  God's Word is filled with promises for us today, to meet every need, but we cannot walk in them if we don’t know them, we can’t get them into our hearts if we don’t know them and we cannot say them with our mouth if we don’t know them.

Romans 12:2:  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We are not to live, act or think like the world thinks.  We are to live, act and think like God thinks. How do we do that, we fill our hearts and minds with the Word of God.  We meditate on it daily, and then we speak it with our mouth over our situation, until the Word’s reality overcomes the world’s reality.  Amen!

Psalms 106:35: But they mingled with the Gentiles And learned their works;

The word, gentiles, here refer to the world, the worldly way of doing and looking at things,

not the Godly way of doing things.  You see, we have been so blinded by the enemy into seeing and thinking defeated ungodly thoughts that it is hard for us to move into thinking Godly thoughts and acting on it.  Part of the problem is, many times the world’s way is a rational orderly way, and God’s way doesn’t always make common sense.

1Corinthians 1: 18-21: For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.  19. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.''  20.  Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?  21.  For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Get into the Word of God, learn what God has for you and then speak it over your life and the life of your family.  It will be health to your flesh!

Proverbs 3:5-8: 5.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6.in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

  1. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil.  8. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.

Below are confessions you can make daily over your life.  They are from the book, God’s Creative Power, the gift collection, by Charles Capps, Harrison House publishers.

Remember you will grow in faith when you hear the Word of God spoken aloud in your life.

Romans 10:17: 17.  So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Speak God's Word over your life, in your voice, aloud so you can hear it.  It will be planted in your heart and grow and develop strong faith. So that, you will be thinking right and then speaking right!

Scriptural based confession:

“I am of God and have overcome him (satan). For greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.”    (1 John 4:4.)

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord. But whatever I do will prosper for I’m like a tree that’s planted by the rivers of water.”

 (Isaiah 54:17; Psalms 1:3.)

“I am a doer of the Word of God and am blessed in my deeds. I am happy in those things which I do because I am a doer of the Word of God.” (James 1:22.)

“The Word of God is forever settled in heaven. Therefore, I establish His word upon this earth.” (Psalms 119:89.)

“For poverty He has given me wealth: for sickness He has given me health; for death He has given me eternal life”. (2 Corinthians 8:9: Isaiah 53:5-6: John 10:10; John 5:24.)

“God has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant and Abraham’s blessings are mine.”

(Psalms 35:27; Galatians 3:14.)

“I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding.  In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my path.” (Proverbs 3:5-6.)

“I will do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13.)

“I let the peace of God rule in my heart and I refuse to worry about anything.”

 (Colossians 3:15.)

“Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore I give no place to sickness or pain. For God sent His Word and healed me.” (Psalms 107:20.)

“Heavenly Father, I attend to your Word. I incline my ears to Your sayings. I will not let them depart from my eyes. I keep them in the midst of my heart, for they are life and healing to all my flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22.)

“My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I make a demand on my body to release the right chemicals. My body is in perfect chemical balance. My pancreas secretes the proper amount of insulin for life and health.” (1 Corinthians 6:19.)

“Your Word in manifest in my body, causing growths to disappear. Arthritis is a thing of the past. I make a demand on my bones and joints to function properly in Jesus name.”

(Mark 11:23; Matthew 17:20.)

My blood pressure is within normal limits.  The life of God flows in my blood and cleanses my arteries of all matter that does not pertain to life. (Mark 11:23.)

My heartbeat is normal.  My heart beats with the rhythm of life, carrying the life of God throughout my body, restoring life and health abundantly. (John 17:23; Ephesians 2:22.)

“I am redeemed from the curse of the law and my heart beats with the rhythm of life. The spirit and life of God's Word flows in me cleansing my blood of every disease and impurity.  (Galatians 3:13; Proverbs 4:20-23.)

Father, I resist the enemy in every form that he comes against me, I require my body to be strong and healthy, and I enforce it with your word. I reject the curse, and I enforce life in this body. (James 4:7.)

“I will not die but live and declare the works of God.” (Psalms 118:17.)

“God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  God is the source of my supply, and I have more that enough to pay my bills on time. Bills be paid in full, in Jesus name.” (Philippians 4:19.)

“Heavenly Father, I call for a raise as I honor You with the firstfruits of my increase. I give thanks for this job and bless my employer. I now declare that this check is multiplied and increased. I am now richly rewarded for my work, both creatively and financially. (Proverbs 3:9-10.)

“I now dissolve and put aside all negative, limiting beliefs about where I will work and what kind of job is available to me.  I open myself to all of God’s possibilities. I call for a perfect, satisfying, well paying job to manifest in my life. I am always in the right place at the right time for the Spirit of God directs my steps.” (Proverbs 16:9; Romans 5:17.)

These are just a few examples of the promises of God, spoken in confession. Find one that applies to you, write it down and put it where you can see it and start confessing it over your life as many times a day and you think of it.  You will soon find that faith builds in your heart and the Word is manifest in your life.  Praise God!

If you don’t know God and would like to meet Him, and experience the love and peace of God for yourself, then I would like to invite you to pray this prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, “…and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.”   (Jn.6:37),   So I know You won’t cast me out, but You take me in, and I thank you for it. You said in your Word, "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.''  (Ro. 10:13).    I am calling on Your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”   (Ro.10:9-10).    I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, “… with the heart one believes to righteousness…” and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21),                         And I am saved!            Thank You, Lord!

I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God!

                                                             Glory to God!!!!          Amen.
