We are Blessed  (Pt. 2)

Are You Standing on the Promises?

Deuteronomy 28:1-2. Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God,  To observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, That the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

Take time to rejoice in the fact that Jesus died for you and in this precious gift gave you not only eternal life but also the promises of God to fill your daily life.

What are the promises of God?  Believe me there are too many promises in the Bible to count, but I’ve heard it said that there are over 30,000 promises in God's Word.

I am going to list a few in the next few pages for you to stand on, live by and depend on, so that you can remember that our Heavenly Father knows your needs, your problems and your desires and wants you to live a blessed life!

Mark 13:31. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Jesus promises that His Word, God’s Word will not pass away. God is faithful to keep His Word and His promises to us!

Matthew 22:36-40. Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?'' Jesus said to him, `You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.   On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.

When we keep these New Testament commandments Jesus gave us, we are able to fulfill and keep all the other laws God gave, because walking in, living in and practicing love in all areas of our lives is what activates the promises of God.

Deuteronomy 4:1.  Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you.”

When you learn to listen to the Father’ voice as revealed to us in His Word, and obey His voice, you will go in and possess your promised land.  Our land today is our Christian walk, it is the life we lead as born again believers.  To be successful in this life we must be obedient to our Heavenly Father.

Matthew 11:29-30.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Our everyday life with The Father can be easy or hard.  We make the choice by believing in His promises and depending on Him not on ourselves. We lean not on our own understanding but on His and He will direct our daily paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Deuteronomy 4:29.  But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

God promises us that if we seek Him with all our heart and soul (mind) we will find Him and we will dwell in His presence.  Isn’t that wonderful to know, all we have to do is seek God and He is there for us, no matter what the situation, He is there!  You may have a need or you may just want to send time with the Father, worshiping Him. It doesn’t matter what the reason, if you seek Him you will find Him!

Deuteronomy 4:39-40. Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.

Ephesians 6:1-3. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  Honor your father and mother,'' which is the first commandment with promise:  that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.

We can live long lives on this earth.  I don’t care if every relative you have died at age 62, God’s Word promises you a long life.  Short unhealthy lives, early deaths are from the enemy, not God!  Stand on the promise God gave you, walk in His Ways, Honor your

father and mother and You will live a long healthy life and so will your Children!

Philippians 4:13.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Psalms 18:30.  As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”

The Greater One lives in you.  Christ dwells in your heart as a born again believer.

No matter what you are going through, He is there with you and you can do all things through Him!  He strengthens you, His Word is proven, He is a shield for you when you trust in Him and rely on Him only. When you have a problem don’t run to your mother for advice, or your best friend, Go to God.  People will give you the world’s answer, the world’s way of solving a problem, not God’s way. God’s way is proven! Let Him prove it for you!

Philippians 4:19.  And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

God promises to meet your need, supply it according to His riches in glory.  God will give you what ever you need to get through a situation. He will give you strength, knowledge, peace, joy, health, financial answers…whatever you need… God will supply it!

Isaiah 43:26. Put me in remembrance, let us plead together; rehearse thine own cause, that thou mayest be justified.

When you go to the Father in prayer, remind Him of His promises in the Word, remind Him of  His promise regarding your situation. God has a promise to meet every need you could ever have!  Get into His Word and find that promise that applies to you and your need and them remind God of His promise to you!  Just remember, God always honors His promises.

Deuteronomy 30:2-3.  and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.

If you have drifted from the Lord, if you are not walking in his ways all you have to do is acknowledge it, admit it and He will have compassion on you and bring you back into the land.  He will always, always draw you back if you confess your sins and return to him.

1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

I urge you today, if you are not walking in the full blessings or promises of God, get back with Him, learn the promises He has given you as a born again believer and go in and Possess your land!   Do not let the enemy rob you of what God has given you learn what you have in God and stand on it, claim it and walk in it!!!

If you want to know for sure that you are a child of God then earnestly pray this prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, “…and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.”   (Jn.6:37),   So I know You won’t cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it.  You said in your Word,   "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.''     (Ro. 10:13).

I am calling on Your name,  So I know You have saved me now, You also said, “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.”     (Ro.10:9,10).

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, “… with the heart one believes to righteousness…” and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21),

And I am saved!            Thank You, Lord!

I can now truthfully say,  I see myself as a born again child of God!

Glory to God!!!!          Amen.

Prayer for Standing on the Promises of God

Father God, I thank you for your Son Jesus, who died for me.

I thank you that through the work of Jesus in His life and death, He has fulfilled the promises you made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and to Moses and the People of Israel

I thank you,  that these promises apply to me and my life.

Father, I remind you that your Word says, “if I seek you, I will find you.”

Father, I am seeking a deeper walk with you, now. I want closer fellowship with you and am asking you for it now, as  your Word  Promises. Forgive me for any sins that keep me from this walk with you and guide me in greater knowledge of You and Your love.

Father, I thank you that your Word says, “You will supply all my needs.” Father, I am seeking a closer walk with you and I remind you that your Word also says, if I am obedient you will give me the blessing of the land.  Thank you, Father, that my needs are met.

Thank you for long life for me and my children, and I bind the power of the enemy in my life and the life of my children.

Father, I thank you for this victory and ask that you continue to show me the full blessings you have for me, as I possess “my land.”   In Jesus Name I pray.   Amen.
