Walking in the Light of our Redemption
Prayer:
Thank you Heavenly Father for the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your Word says, without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins
We thank you, that our Lord Jesus Christ entered once and for all into the Holy of Holies to obtain an eternal redemption for us. He loved us and washed us from our sins by His own blood.
We trust in your grace and mercy.
May He live big in us,
May He think through our minds, May He speak through our lips,
Thank You Father for unraveling the Word of God unto our spirits,
And We shall give you all the praise and honor and glory by Christ Jesus. Amen.
Eph. 1:1. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
- 2. Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
- 4. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
- 5. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
- 6. To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
- 7. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
- 8. Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
- 9. Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
- 10. That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
- 11. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
- 12. That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
- 13. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
- 14. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
- 15. Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
- 16. Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
- 17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
- 18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
- 19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
- 20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
- 21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
- 22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
- 23. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Eph3:14.
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15: Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16: That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18: May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19: And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21: Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
These prayer’s of Paul are Holy Spirit anointed prayers that we can pray for ourselves, and for others as well.
Notice, Paul did not pray for God to bless them, or for Gods blessings to be upon them. We often pray for God to bless people we know, or for Gods blessing to
be upon us. When we pray for God to bless us, we are praying for God to do something that He has said in His Word, He’s already accomplished thru thecompleted work of Jesus Christ . What He says in His Word has already taken place.
In God’s mind, We are, already Blessed.
We’re not going to be blessed, We are blessed.
No, Paul prayed their spiritual eyes would be opened. Why, did he pray that way, instead of praying for God to bless them? So that they would see the revelation of what has already happened. The revelation of their redemption, and it wasn’t just their redemption it is ours as well , So that they would know who they are,
and what blessings already, belong to them! So that they would be able to receive the blessings that already belong to them in Christ Jesus. We are in a new and better Covenant with God, and we have to learn what is included in that covenant.
- You can’t receive something if you don’t know it’s yours.
Paul says in 3, It is already ours. -- Who hath blessed us with all
spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
-- Simple English
Ephesians 1:3. Praise God! He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Christ,
God blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heaven.
We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in heaven. We can’t be blessed with any more. There are no more we can be blessed with.
We’ve already got them all. We need stop asking for them and start receiving them.
We often miss it believing God is going to bless us someday somewhere
in the future, if we can just hold on. NO, now. We are blessed now.
Our blessings are now. Our redemption is now. Not just in the future. Praise God.
- Faith is now, and will bring these blessings into the present tense.
- You have to lay hold of the promises of God to bring them into the present.
Hebrews 11:1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith always begins where you know and understand the will of God.
Faith is not taking a blind leap into the dark. No, His Word brings light.
Ps:119:105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Jesus said, in Mt.
Mt:24:35. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Then why aren’t we walking in these blessings that are already given to us.? I believe it’s because we don’t comprehend what belongs to us.
That’s why Paul prayed the way he did.
The new birth, the remission of sins, has already been provided for every single sinner, and every single lost person. Every single one. That’s everybody
Heb:9:12: Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
For everybody. The Gospel is the good news!!
Spiritual death is a result of sin, seperation from God was a result of that spiritual death, along with that came sickness and disease, poverty, lack, and a break in our fellowship with God.
II Co.5:17. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- 18. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
- 19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
- 20. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
- 21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made
the righteousness of God in him.
Amplified translation vs. 19: It was God [personally present] in Christ,
Reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but canceling them]. And committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).
You can hear it, but if you don’t act on it, it won’t do you any good.
The world has been restored to favor with God, and they just don’t know it.
- In the end, mankind will be convicted of only one sin, the sin of not accepting Jesus Christ as their savior.
We have to tell people to lay hold of eternal life. We are His representatives.
We are His ambassadors.
The divine favor belongs to you and me and everybody.
Sinners are restored to favor with God just as much as we are!!!
They don’t know it, and because they don’t know it they can’t act on it,
and because they don’t act on it, they won’t receive it.
Is. 43: 25. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
- 26. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Jn:8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
- So knowing the truth, and acting on that knowledge will set you free.
Eph. 1:3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed
us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
All means all, If you don’t have it, it is because you don’t know what the Word teaches. If you don’t know the truth, how are you going to be set free?
The good new is, the remission of sins belongs to the world.
As we read in 2 Co. 5:19. Not imputing their trespasses.
- We have a new and better Covenant than the old covenant.
He.7:22-25: By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23: And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24: But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25: Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
He10:17: And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
He.8:12: For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Your faith will operate on your knowledge of the plan of redemption.
It won’t operate beyond that. That’s why Paul prayed open their eyes. Let them see.
- Jesus sent the comforter to lead us and guide us unto all truth.
Jn.16:7. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Jn:16:13: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
1: Pe.1:1 An apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2: Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4: To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Col.1:12. Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
- Jesus is called the only begotton son in the Gospels.
- He is called the 1st born after the gospels He is not the only begotton Son of God any more, He is the 1st
- That implies there is a 2nd born a 3rd born and so on down the line.
Vs.13. Who hath delivered us from the authority of darkness and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.
14: In whom we have redemption
Not in whom we are going to get redemption.
Col:1:15: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
22: In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
- That is the redeemed man in the sight of God!
We need to see that we have been bought with a precious price.
1Cor:6:20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1Cor: 7:23: Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
Ep.2:1: And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2: Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph:2:6: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
We were made to sit together with Him in heavenly places.
According to God’s Word, that’s where we are right now.
We have been redeemed, we are not going to get redeemed someday.
[If you are in Christ, You have been redeemed].
Our redemption can not be based on what we feel, but only on the Word of God.
- God accepts the price Jesus paid for me! and
- I accept the price Jesus paid for me.
When sin comes up we have 1st Jn. 1:9 We can restore our fellowship, our right standing with God.
The devil has no right to condemn you. Your sin is really none of the devils business, he’s not our god.
If you confess your sin, He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.
I believe that I receive my forgiveness, therefore,
Rom:8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Paul went on to say in the 34th verse.
Rom:8:34: Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
We are right there with Jesus, amen!
So when you sin, ask and receive your forgiveness and go on!
Don’t let the devil beat you over the head with it.
He is faithful and just.
I believe I have received, not because I feel like it.
Feeling can be fickle
On any particular day you can feel good or bad, but the Word of God is true and abides forever, whether we feel like it or not.
Rom:3:4: -- Revised Standard
By no means! Let God be true though every man be false, as it is written, "That thou mayest be justified in thy words, and prevail when thou art judged."
You are justified in your words. My feelings better get in line with Gods Word.
My words better get in line with God’s Word.
Don’t base your faith on feelings, feelings can and will change.
1.) I have been bought with a price. We already read.
1Cor:6:20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
2.) I belong to God.
3.) I have been redeemed.
God has a tremendous investment in us, we’re His children,
we’re not an after thought.
- According to Gods plan of redemption, there had to be an incarnation.
Jesus fulfilled that plan.
He has totally and completely delivered us from the dominion of darkness!
Col:1:13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
We already read in 2Co. 5:17 that we are new creatures in Christ Jesus
We must realize we have authority over Satan.
When the Word comes and is sown in your heart, Satan immediately comes to steal it. Hide the Word in your heart.
His Word will brings light and understanding . The entrance of His Word giveth light. Meditate on who you are in Christ.
I believe in the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
I take my position as His child and His son. I am a joint heir with Jesus.
I am a believer, and I believe God’s Word is true. All things are possible unto me because I’m a believer, and because the Word of God can not return void.
I believe it in my heart and I confess it with my mouth. Glory to God.
This is where you put yourself in a place where you begin to partake of your privileges as a child of God, and God will respond to you.
- We are worthy in Christ Jesus and must come to that realization, before we can
walk in it. This is not some kind of bravado, true humility accepts what the Word says, even though you know you didn’t or could not have earn it. False humility is just that, false. True humility says Lord, Your Word says I am worthy, therefore I am worthy, because I’m in Christ Jesus. The Father sees us in Him. Aren’t you glad that He does.
- Jesus paid the highest price that could be paid for our redemption, there was no
greater price that could be paid, therefore if He says that I am worthy, then I am.
It doesn’t matter if I feel like it or not, I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
- Another good one to meditate on. I have the mind of Christ.
1Cor:2:16. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?
But we have the mind of Christ.
Phil:2:6: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
I don’t call it robbery to be called a joint heir with Jesus, I am in Him, I am in Christ Jesus. He bought and paid the ultimate price for me. I accept that, and will act like it is so. We are joint heirs together with Him. We didn’t earn it, or couldn’t have earned it.
It’s a free gift, and I accept and acknowledge it.
Ps.119:89. For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
-- Revised Standard
Jeremiah 1:12 Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it."
Jn:16:13: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
When Jesus was raised up from the dead, and we partook of that resurrection, we received the Nature of God within us. Because of that fact,
The Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth, but we have to renew our minds with what has already happened in our hearts.
Rom:12:2: And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Even though we have received Jesus as our savior and Lord, We have to renew our minds in order for the transformation to happen in our lives.
If we don’t know who we are in Christ Jesus, we can’t renew our minds.
Pray like Paul prayed, ask God to open the eyes of your understanding,
meditate on who you are in Christ Jesus. Then watch the transformation happen.
It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen, you won’t get into spiritual shape overnight, you didn’t become a spiritually slug overnight. You have to prove it.
Amen.

Meditate on These Things:
We are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus.
Paul prayed for the Ephesians that their spiritual eyes would be opened so that they would see and understand what God has already done for them.
We can pray these prayers for ourselves.
Faith is now and will bring these blessing into the present tense.
Faith begins where you know and understand the Will of God.
The new birth, the remission of sins has already been provided for every single sinner, every single one!
In the end mankind will be convicted of only one sin, the sin of not accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior.
We are God’s representatives and His ambassadors to tell people to lay hold of eternal life.
Jesus is the first-born of the new creation; He is no longer the only begotten Son of God.
In the sight of God, the redeemed man is the image of the invisible God-Holy, unreproveable and unblameable in God’s sight.
The Word of God is true and abides forever!
God is Faithful and Just!
Your words-feelings need to get in line with God’s Word.
You were brought with a price!
You belong to God!
You have been redeemed!
True humility says, “Lord, Your Word says I am Worthy, therefore I am worthy because I am in Christ Jesus.”
You have the Mind of Christ!
